What our translator checks
- Every column of the nikah nama, including the dower (haq mehr), witnesses and the registrar's details.
- Names as in your passport, including the father's or husband's name where the document gives it.
- Bilingual documents: Urdu parts translated, English parts kept.
Licence and visa rules in short
- Licence transfer: Pakistan is not on the Austroads list of recognised jurisdictions: you can still transfer your licence, but your state may ask you to pass a knowledge, hazard perception or driving test. See which licences convert without a test.
- NSW: for a NSW licence transfer, only the Free Translating Service and Multicultural NSW are accepted, not private translations such as ours. See what NSW accepts.
- Visas: if you apply from Australia, Home Affairs asks for the translator's NAATI practitioner number on each translation, which ours show.
