Who does the work and how it is checked

Who translates my document?

A translator who holds NAATI certification for your language into English. Their name and NAATI practitioner number appear on the certification.

Is the translation “NAATI certified”?

It is certified by a translator who holds NAATI certification for your language pair. The PDF carries the translator’s details and their NAATI digital stamp, which can be checked online.

How can I check the stamp?

The NAATI digital stamp can be verified online through NAATI’s verification service. Anyone you send the PDF to can do the same.

Do you use AI?

Yes, to prepare a first draft quickly. A NAATI-certified translator then compares the draft with your original, corrects every word and takes responsibility for the translation by stamping it. No translation is sent without that human check.

What if there is a mistake in my translation?

If the translation contains an error, we correct it free of charge. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Can I get a name spelled the way it is in my passport?

Yes. Tell us the spelling in the notes box when you order, and every order includes one round of name-spelling corrections. Names in the translation should match your passport, so the authority does not query them.

What happens if part of my document is unreadable?

If a stamp or a handwritten note cannot be read, the translator marks it as “[illegible]” rather than guessing. If a whole page is blurry or missing, we ask you for a new photo before we start.

Is it accepted?

Visas, citizenship and driver licences

Is it accepted for my visa or citizenship application?

The Department of Home Affairs asks for documents that are not in English to be translated, and if you apply from Australia, for the translation to show the translator’s NAATI practitioner number, which ours do. The PDF is ready to upload to ImmiAccount. The free government translation service does not cover documents for visa or citizenship applications.

Can I drive in Australia on my overseas licence with your translation?

Yes. If your licence is not in English, Australian states ask you to carry an English translation, or an International Driving Permit, together with your licence. Hire car companies set their own rules, so check your booking conditions. See driving as a visitor.

Do I still need a translation if I have an International Driving Permit?

Usually not for driving. A current IDP from the same country can be used instead of a translation. The translation is for when you do not have one, or your licensing authority asks for it.

Is it accepted when I transfer to an Australian state licence?

It depends on the state. Victoria (VicRoads), Queensland (TMR), Western Australia and South Australia accept translations by NAATI translators. For ACT, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, check with your local licensing authority before ordering. See driver licence translation for each state.

Is it accepted for my licence transfer in NSW?

No. Service NSW only accepts translations from Multicultural NSW, the Home Affairs Free Translating Service or, for Korean and Taiwanese licences, the relevant consulate. Please do not order from us for that. Our translation is suitable for driving in NSW on your overseas licence.

Is there a free government translation service?

Possibly. If you hold an eligible permanent or humanitarian visa granted in the last 2 years, the Department of Home Affairs Free Translating Service may translate your licence for free. It is not available to visitors, working holiday makers or most temporary visa holders. We are the option when you are not eligible, or when you need it today.

Who decides if my translation is accepted?

The authority you submit it to. We are a private translation service and are not affiliated with NAATI, the Department of Home Affairs or any other government agency. Our translators are independent professionals who hold NAATI certification. Rules change, so if you are in doubt, check the authority’s website before ordering.

Speed and delivery

The 1-hour promise, hours and how you receive it

How fast is express delivery?

Within 1 hour. The clock starts when your payment is confirmed and we have a readable copy of every page. Express works for any language and any number of pages.

When can I order express?

Express orders are covered 8am–8pm, Monday to Saturday, Sydney time. If you pay outside those hours, your translation is delivered within 1 hour of the next covered period. Standard delivery works any day, at any time.

What if you miss the 1-hour delivery time?

The express surcharge ($70 per page) is refunded automatically. You still get your certified translation, at the standard price.

How long does standard delivery take?

Within 24 hours, any day of the week.

How do I receive my translation?

By email, as a PDF with the translator’s certification and NAATI digital stamp. Nothing is posted. Download it, print it if you need to, or upload it straight to your application.

Can I get a paper copy?

You receive a PDF, which you can print. If the place you submit to requires an original hard copy, tell us before ordering.

What if my photo is blurry or a page is missing?

We ask you for a new photo before starting. The 1-hour clock starts when we have a readable copy of every page, so a clear photo on the first try is the fastest way.

Pricing and refunds

What you pay, what counts as a page, refunds

How much does a certified translation cost?

$69 per page for standard delivery (24 hours) or $139 per page for express (1 hour). Prices are the total you pay, in Australian dollars. See the pricing page for a calculator.

Are there any extra fees?

No. The price you see is the total you pay. No fee is added at checkout.

What counts as a page?

One side of one document, up to 250 words. A driver licence, front and back together, counts as 1 page.

Which languages can you translate?

Any language into English, express included, and any number of pages. Search for your language in the order form, or type it if it is not on the list.

Can I get a refund?

If you placed an order by mistake and we have not started, we refund in full. If the translation contains an error, we correct it free of charge. If we miss the 1-hour express delivery time, the express surcharge is refunded automatically. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

Can you translate other documents?

We are built for three identity documents: overseas driver licences, birth certificates and police certificates. If you have something else, contact us before ordering and we will tell you if we can help.

Files and privacy

Uploads, storage, payment security

Is my document safe?

Uploads are encrypted and stored privately, and are accessed only by the translator working on your order. Files are deleted 30 days after payment. If you upload a document but do not complete the order, we keep it 7 days so we can help you finish, then delete it. See the privacy policy.

What files can I upload?

Photos or scans in JPG, PNG or HEIC format, or PDF, up to 20 MB each and up to 30 files per order. Include every page, and the back of the document if anything is written on it.

Do you see my card details?

No. You pay on our payment partner’s secure page, and we never see or store your card details.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Upload your document, enter your name and email, and pay. We send the translation to your email.
