Who we are and who certifies your translations
Sealword is an online translation service for people in Australia who need a certified English translation of a licence, a birth certificate, a police certificate or another personal document, quickly. Software prepares a first draft; a NAATI-certified translator then checks every line against your original, corrects it and certifies it, and takes professional responsibility for it.
How we work: software for the draft, a translator for everything else
- You upload a photo or scan of your document, in any language.
- Software prepares a first draft of the English translation. It is never sent to you as it is.
- A NAATI-certified translator compares the draft with your original line by line: names, dates, numbers, stamps and handwritten notes. They correct it, convert dates from other calendars and keep your name as in your passport.
- The translator certifies the translation with their own digital stamp, name and NAATI practitioner number, and you receive the PDF by email.
Our translators
NAATI certifies individual translators, not companies. Every translation we deliver shows the name and NAATI practitioner number of the translator who certified it, so you, and the authority you submit it to, can check their credential in the NAATI online directory.
Why 1 hour is possible, and its conditions
Translators are available for express orders paid 8am–8pm, Monday to Saturday (Sydney time), with a clear and complete photo or scan. Express costs $139 per page instead of $69. If we miss the 1-hour delivery time, the express surcharge ($70 per page) is refunded automatically. Orders paid outside these hours are delivered within 1 hour of the next opening.
What we will not do
- Translate for a NSW licence transfer. Service NSW only accepts translations from Multicultural NSW and the Free Translating Service for that, so we tell you before you pay. See what NSW accepts.
- Promise that an authority will accept a translation. Each authority decides; our guides cite its rules and the date we checked them.
- Publish reviews we did not receive, or ratings that do not come from real customers.
Your documents
Files are uploaded to private storage and opened only by our team through private links that expire. Documents are deleted30 days after payment, or 7 days if you do not complete an order. Card payments are handled by our payment provider: we never see your card details. Read our privacy policy.
