What our translator checks
- Two family names: most Spanish-speaking countries use a paternal and a maternal surname. We keep both, in the order of the original, and match your passport.
- Annotations and margin notes (notas marginales) on civil registry documents, which can record a marriage, divorce or name change.
- Stamps, signatures and verification codes printed on the document, translated where legible.
Who we translate for
Colombia is one of the main countries for student visas to Australia, and Chile and Argentina are partners of the Work and Holiday (462) program. Whatever your country, the translation is into English, by a translator who knows its documents.
Visa and licence rules in short
- Visas: if you apply from Australia, Home Affairs asks for the translator's NAATI practitioner number on each translation.
- Licence transfer: Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT accept translations by NAATI translators. NSW does not: use the Free Translating Service or Multicultural NSW for a NSW licence transfer.
Price and turnaround
- Standard: $69 per page, PDF within 24 hours.
- Express: $139 per page, PDF within 1 hour for orders paid 8am–8pm, Monday to Saturday (Sydney time) with a clear and complete photo or scan. If we miss the 1-hour delivery time, the express surcharge ($70 per page) is refunded automatically.
FAQ
Do you translate documents from every Spanish-speaking country? Yes. Spanish into English, whatever the country that issued the document.
How do you write my two surnames? Both, in the order of your passport. Tell us how your name appears in your passport when you order.
Do I need an apostille as well? An apostille certifies a signature for use abroad; it is not a translation. Whether you need one depends on the authority you submit to. For an Australian visa, Home Affairs asks for an English translation of documents not in English.
Can I use your translation to transfer my licence in NSW? No. NSW only accepts the Free Translating Service and Multicultural NSW for licence transfers. Our translation works in the other states and territories that accept NAATI translations, and to drive or hire a car.
