How to get a Bangladesh police clearance certificate while living in Australia
Bangladesh police clearance certificates are applied for online, on the Bangladesh Police PCC website (pcc.police.gov.bd), by you or by someone on your behalf. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months, and the address you use must be the permanent or emergency address shown in your passport. If you live in Australia, attach a copy of your passport information page attested by the Bangladesh High Commission in Australia, and an authorisation letter naming the person in Bangladesh who will collect the certificate. The fee is 1,500 taka, paid by treasury challan or online by card with a service charge.

Does it need translating?
If your police clearance certificate is entirely in English, it does not need a translation. Your Bangladeshi documents in Bengali, such as a birth registration certificate or a marriage certificate, need an English translation for an Australian visa. If you apply from Australia, Home Affairs asks for the translator's NAATI practitioner number. See translation requirements for Australian visas.
FAQ
Can I apply for a Bangladesh police clearance from Australia?
Yes. You or someone acting for you applies online on the Bangladesh Police PCC website. Bangladeshi passport holders living abroad attach a copy of their passport information page attested by the Bangladesh High Commission in the country where they live.
Who collects the certificate?
A person you authorise. Upload an authorisation letter with their name and national ID number, attested, with your application. They bring a copy of your passport or of the application, and the authorisation letter attested by the embassy or a Justice of the Peace.
How much does it cost?
1,500 taka, by treasury challan at Bangladesh Bank or Sonali Bank, or online by credit or debit card with the applicable service charge.
Do I need to translate my Bangladesh police clearance?
Only if part of it is not in English. Other documents in Bengali, such as a birth registration certificate, need an English translation for an Australian visa.
